Koper

Koper (Italian Capodistria) is the sixth largest city in Slovenia and the largest on the Slovenian coast. With a population of just over 20,000, it is the seat of the Municipality of Koper.

Next to the city lies the only Slovenian international cargo port, the Port of Koper, which connects Central Europe with the sea. The advantage of the port is its geographical location, which, in addition to greater access to the markets of Central and Eastern Europe, also allows it to be included in trade flows at the intersection of the Baltic-Adriatic and Mediterranean core European transport corridors. The port maintains sea connections with all parts of the world by connecting important world shipowners.

Koper offers a sub-Mediterranean climate, characterized by long and hot summers, mild winters and frequent winds - bora, jugo and maestral. January averages above 4 ° C and July averages above 22 ° C.
